Every story has a person. Every person needs an answer.
Mai moved to music. It was her life. She had a last test. If she did it well, she could be in a music group. She wanted that. Her book stopped between one move and the next. Did she fall? Did she get it right? She will never know.
Rafa loved a woman. He asked her one question. It could change their lives. His book stopped before she could answer. What did she say?
Vera did bad things. Her book had things no one should know, so people took parts of it away. The lost parts left her mind too. Now she does not know which parts of her story are right. What did the book say?
Kenji saw a lot of water coming to his town. He told people to run, but no one did. His book stopped before the water came. Did they get up high in time?
Four people. Four books with no end. Four open ends.
After each open end was a white thing. When it came to them, it would take them away.
But a different person, made of black colour, was called Blot. Blot could not let a story have no end. Blot put a hand in each book and took the person out.
Now they live with Blot in a white place between stories. There is nothing there. No person asks why.
When Blot finds a story that needs to end, Blot takes the people into it. At times one. At times two. At times all four.
"Turn the page," Blot says.
They come into the story just when one person must decide.
That person is you.
What you decide changes what happens next. It takes the people to one of eight ends. Every time you decide, you give them something no person gave them before:
An answer.
Turn the page.
