My saved words are gone

There is no account. Your place, your saved words and your endings live on this phone, in this browser.

They disappear when you…

  • clear your browser history or site data
  • read in a private or incognito window
  • open the story in a different browser or on another phone

If you cleared your data, we can’t bring the words back. We are sorry.

Keep them safe next time

  1. Always open Cliffhanger in the same browser on the same phone.
  2. Don’t read in a private window.
  3. Add to Home Screen. Then Cliffhanger opens like an app, and it is easy to find again.

Where to find them

Tap the menu on any story page, then Your words. The number shows how many you have saved.

Did you unlock the story?

Your pass is safe

On a new phone or browser, tap Restore. Type the same email as before. We send one email with a link and a 6-digit code: open the link, or type the code.

Restore opens the story again. It does not bring back saved words.
